Endurance Clinic

"Become a Better Endurance Paddler"
is a clinic geared toward novice to intermediate paddlers who are new to ultra races such as the MR340

The clinic for 2017 is not scheduled yet.

This is the program from 2016:

At the clinic, you will be able to listen to, speak with, and learn from some of the veterans of ultra paddling and racing in the Midwest (Humbly speaking, just dudes who like to paddle long ways and love pain):

2016 Speakers: Paul Dennis, Doug Jennings, Sarah Farsace, Krista Scroggins, Ryan Slebos, and Joe Mann

The concept will be a panel discussion focusing on:  Training, Nutrition, Strategy, and Boat Rigging.

Not only for racers, we will have a discussion specifically around Ground Crews.
It will be a "classroom" setting, but with hands on examples for boat rigging.

Ladsurfski will be there with Epic Kayaks to showcase some of their newest boats.  We will also have some unlimited boats and Slebos Riverhawk boats set up that will be used as visual references for the boat rigging section.

We will have some things for sale to help with boat rigging such as closed cell foam blocks, drink tubing, bite valves, velcro neck straps, and more.

Afterwards, we will draw some door prizes and have lunch outside (Weather permitting) on the deck on the roof overlooking the west bottoms and the Missouri River. We will serve Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Sides and Drinks.

One way to get there is to take I-70 around the north edge of the city, and get off at Broadway.  Instead of crossing the Broadway bridge north over the Missouri River, take the right lane that goes under the bridge, and it will throw you west onto Woodswether.  Go a couple blocks and the building will be on your left.

The entire program is FREE but donations to Healthy Rivers Partnership are appreciated!!
